Many real estate photos are shot without flash (ambient shot) and window views end up blown out and unappealing color casts appear on the walls.

Other real estate photos are only shot with a single flashed capture where the flash is pointed to the ceiling and is directly behind the camera. This results in unnatural light and shadows with all the light coming from behind the camera and it is typical to see reflections of the flash in windows and mirrors.

My special technique consists of combining ambient shots with multiple shots with flash in different locations around the room. This ensures that lighting looks natural, window views look incredible, and interior colors look accurate. I spend considerable time in photoshop on each image to strive for magazine quality!
